as someone who is a human being with feelings, i thought this was a touching news item, as did the producers, who recognize items that are touching to most humans, and preempted a different story with this story.
As someone with a brain who can receive sensory input, I feel that I am qualified to look at and hear things and feel stuff about that. And thus, I also enjoyed this very uplifting tale, which requires very little further explanation, and which most people are qualified to like because they are people, and because it is pretty straightforward.

I think that coach and that school also deserve a LOT of credit -- for supporting that kid, and putting him in to play.
Too many coaches only play their "best" players game in and game out.
America needs more people like this.
