"I thought this train service was supposed to be reliable."

Two things that make me avert my eyes: real-life carnage and movie theater computer graphics.

I'm on the train again. No scalp boogers this time. The train pulled a quarter-mile out of the station and stopped. Not that unusual. Minor delays happen all the time.

We waited and waited. "There's a problem up ahead", said the conductor. We sat there another hour, then started moving. The previous train had hit and killed someone. About a dozen people on my train pressed up against the window.
"The body is covered with a sheet!"
"That's not a whole body!"
"Maybe that's all that's left."
I don't want to see that shit. Whether it was an accident or a suicide (something so common that we call suicide-by-rail "Metracide"), I just don't want to see it. A person turned to meat. I don't get the gapers.

3:59 PM

People are so.....icky.

5:40 PM

*shudder*

12:35 AM

ick.. i have no desire to see that kind of thing.

its the same problem when there is an accident on the highway, some idiot 2000 cars ahead of you slowed down to see some guy on the side of the road changing his tire and now everyone has to slow down.

7:38 AM

It's called a lack of empathy.

5:56 AM

Okay...I'll admit. I would gape.

But probably, I'd cry a little, too.
