The vote was fixed. So is the dog.

There's a new Sysm family dog. We had a three day deadlock over naming him. The kids threatened to use the nuclear option. Neither they nor I exactly know what that means, but it sounded intimidating. For about a day, it looked like it was going to be "Radar". Ubie contributed the name "Ruh Roh", which was given strong consideration. In the end, after five rounds of voting, we decided on (REDACTED - Dogs get the same amount of pseudonymity as the rest of the family). So, for blog purposes, he will known as "Were-Woof."

11:38 AM

A fine looking specimen.

11:49 AM

I know what he was named.

I heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from another the name you gave your hound.

11:55 AM

wolf-sys?

12:08 PM

Sysmutt.

12:25 PM

Mazel Tov! how fun.
He looks like the same flavor as the old dog [rip, little guy] - is he?

12:33 PM

A Keeshond, if I'm not mistaken. My years as a dog breeder have not gone unrewarded.

Also, you told me.

1:40 PM

I have always been partial the name Krypto

5:10 PM

he's beautiful and i love him and demand that he snuggle me immediately.

i will be there in six hours.

5:27 PM

He's gorgeous. He needs a proper name to match his gorgeousness. I vote for Fred.

6:33 PM

He is so beautiful!

6:57 PM

Fred? Fred is beautiful? I know someone who would feel highly complimented. The rest of us are highly amused.

10:38 PM

So. Cute.

Can I come over and cuddle?

11:16 PM

Nick - he's a dog among men.

Ubie - I challenge you to write all of your comments using adapted lyrics from the 'wagon.

Dilf - We were at Feo-rama tonight. They had an ice cream social. I was standing behind a woman in a two-piece bathing suit who had a giant patch of hair climbing up from her butt half way up her back. She probably has a higher testosterone count than the dude who won the Tour de France.

QOTH - Yep. Same breed as Rhea. You know how it is.

Kendra - You running late? We'll leave the door unlocked.

Brooke - "Fred" is a fine name for someone who would like to lick their own balls.

Ms. Machine - Welcome. Friend of Miss Knit? Make yourself at home.

Tits - cuddling sounds great. I'll even let you meet the dog.

11:54 PM

Krypto, man! Krypto.

Superman's dog is rad.

7:15 AM

2 glasses of bubbly and one gin and tonic and all I gotta say is that I'm frickin jealous of your beautiful puppy

10:37 AM

Is that a dog or an Ewok?

11:27 AM

I was tring to adapt 157 Riverside Avenue to a comment, but I can't rhyme anything with Saugatuck that doesn't sound even gayer than the word Saugatuck itself.

2:55 PM

what a wonderful widdle pup. please send him to me for vacations, respite, and general babysitting. thank you.

i don't have a dog. i YEARN for one.

And i love the new facelift here in bloggo-land. the cat? oh, just about PERFECT.

7:34 AM

I have a dog whistle and I know how to use it.

10:09 AM

You know, I've been to various "paloozas" and I would very much like to know how they stack up.
